How to Sell Scrap & Surplus Equipment

A clear inquiry helps the buyer understand your equipment and ask the right follow-up questions. You do not need a polished sales brochure: accurate photos and a concise description are a useful starting point.

Start with five details

Include the equipment type, approximate quantity, condition, location and your preferred timeline. Send an overall image and readable identification labels where safely accessible. Say whether the item is installed, stored or already removed, and whether any parts are missing.

Keep the description accurate

Share known manufacturer and model information rather than estimating specifications. Say when weight, operating condition or material type is unknown. Mention documentation you already have, such as an inventory, service record or specification sheet. There is no need to operate or dismantle equipment just to send an inquiry.

Discuss the offer and scope directly

Photos begin the discussion; they do not guarantee acceptance or a final price. Additional questions, records or an inspection may be needed. Before agreeing to a transaction, confirm exactly which assets are included and how payment, pickup, access, removal and cleanup will be handled.

Send the inquiry to Nick

Call or text 713-401-8045. A useful opening message is: “I have [equipment type and quantity] in [location]. It is [condition and installed or removed status]. I can send photos and would like to discuss a purchase and any pickup requirements.” Keep sensitive account information out of an initial message.

Questions about this equipment

Do I need a complete inventory before contacting you?

No. Start with the main equipment categories and photos. If you already have an inventory, mention it.

Does submitting equipment commit me to sell?

An initial inquiry is a discussion. Agree on any offer, sale scope and logistics directly before proceeding.
